Stéphane Richard appointed by Frank McCourt as Olympique de Marseille’s 34th president

Stéphane Richard was appointed by Frank McCourt on Friday as Olympique de Marseille’s 34th president.

According to L'Équipe, he is the eleventh since the Louis-Dreyfus family became shareholders in December 1996, and the fourth since Frank McCourt arrived in 2016.

Richard has been chosen to take the reins after Alban Juster.

He is to officially take up the role at the end of the 2025-2026 season.

His remit is to bring stability back to the club and to inject fresh momentum on the sporting and institutional fronts.
