Steve Bruce has now been sacked.

This comes after a disastrous start to the season for Blackpool Football Club.

Steve Bruce sacked only two months into the season with the club 23rd of 24 in League One.

The final straw for Blackpool was a 2-0 home defeat to AFC Wimbledon on Saturday afternoon.

An official statement (see below) released by the club following the latest loss.

Including getting knocked out of the Carabao Cup at home by Port Vale, Steve Bruce had overseen seven defeats this season, with two draws and only the two wins.

‘Blackpool Football Club can announce the departure of Head Coach Steve Bruce, Assistant Head Coach Steve Agnew and First-Team Coach Stephen Clemence.
