Steve Bruce has singled out Senne Lammens for praise following his stalwart showing in Manchester United’s win over Everton on Monday.
The shot-stopper claimed a clean sheet in United’s maiden trip to the Hill Dickinson Stadium – and boy, was he made to work for it.

As per StatmanDave, the Red Devils No.1 had 43 touches of the ball and recorded four saves, four punches and two high claims.
What’s more, he made first contact with five of the opposition’s corners, becoming the first goalkeeper to achieve such a feat in a single game this campaign.
It came amid the Toffees utilising some utterly bizarre set-piece techniques, during which they decided to swarm Lammens and the United defenders on the goalline. Perhaps unsurprisingly, it was to no avail.
Not only are the Reds now unbeaten in Michael Carrick’s reign, but they have also tasted defeat only twice since Lammens became the first-choice between the sticks.
He was brought in via an £18.2 million deal from Royal Antwerp on deadline day last summer, and is currently proving to be worth every penny.
Should United get over the line and fulfil their assignment of securing Champions League qualification come the end of the season, Lammens will certainly be one Red who’ll be able to hold his head high and know he did his bit.

Reacting to the 23-year-old’s display on Merseyside this week, Bruce told talkSPORT: “Well, he looks like a really, really good goalkeeper, for somebody who only just started learning his trade in Belgium. He looks like a real class act.
“No matter what Everton threw at him, with a high ball, and it was like a scrum in there at the finish, it was more like a game of rugby the way they were competing with it, he (Lammens) stood up and he got a fist to it, caught it, and he was immaculate, the two or three shots down by his right-hand side, didn’t spill them.”
Bruce added: “He looks a real, real good goalkeeper. I’m delighted for him.”
