The STJD's full bench has set Friday for Bahia’s appeal against sanctions on coach Rogério Ceni, defender David Duarte and football director Cadu Santoro. According to Globo.com, the bans followed criticism of the refereeing after the match against Palmeiras on 5 April.

Last Wednesday, the First Disciplinary Commission suspended Ceni for one game under article 258 for disrespecting the match officials. Santoro was cited under the same article and received a 15-day ban.

Duarte, who used the term theft in his post-match interview, was punished under article 243-F for offending honour related to the sport, receiving a four-match ban and a R$ 500 fine.

All three have remained involved in Bahia’s matches thanks to a suspensive effect granted on Saturday.

The clubs were also fined. Bahia were cited under article 206 and fined R$ 4,000 for a four-minute delay in returning after half-time. Palmeiras were fined R$ 500 under article 191 for failing to comply with regulations.
