STJD sets date for Allan's Palmeiras appeal, check when

The midfielder Allan, from Palmeiras, was suspended on October 23 for two matches by the Superior Court of Sports Justice (STJD) due to his expulsion against Fluminense in the 2-1 victory on July 23.

I — to prevent in any way, contrary to the rules of the game, a clear opportunity for a goal, score, or equivalent; II — to push a teammate or opponent ostentatiously, outside the play.

Palmeiras' Appeal

Palmeiras filed an appeal with the STJD, which granted a suspensive effect, and Allan was cleared to play against Cruzeiro on October 26. The Full Court will judge the case next Monday, November 10.

Match Report: Striking or attempting to strike an opponent with excessive force outside the play – For hitting the opponent's head with the elbow, using excessive force, outside the play. I inform that the athlete hit, No. 02, Mr. Samuel Xavier Brito, did not require medical attention and continued normally in the match.

Recall the Expulsion of the Palmeiras Player

At 49 minutes of the second half, Allan initially received a yellow card after committing a foul on Samuel Xavier. However, the video referee team intervened, requesting a review of the play for possible excessive force. Thus, after consulting the monitor, referee Ramon Abatti Abel reviewed his decision and issued a direct red card to the Palmeiras player.

“He makes the additional movement, in passing he leaves the elbow. Abatti, Gilberto speaking. I suggest a review for the possible red card. After the Fluminense player kicks the ball, the player (Allan) comes in passing with speed, he makes the additional movement and hits the opponent's head with the elbow.”

During the review on the field-side monitor, the field referee confirms the change of decision.

“Excessive force, you can give me in normal speed. Ok, elbow... I will take the yellow card and give the red, ok?” states Abatti Abel.

“Ok, I agree,” responds Gilberto.
