Stoke City are interested in West Bromwich Albion goalkeeper Josh Griffiths as they seek extra competition in goal. According to The Sentinel, the Championship side want cover for Viktor Johansson.
Any move could depend on Tommy Simkin heading out on another loan to continue his development.
Griffiths began last season as Albion’s first-choice, but his minutes reduced after Max O’Leary arrived on a short-term loan from Bristol City in January.
In Italy, Gianluca Di Marzio of Sky Italia says Juventus have agreed personal terms with Emiliano Martinez and are edging towards a deal for the 33-year-old Argentina goalkeeper.
Transfer reporter Nico Schira adds that Juve have offered a contract to 2029 worth €5.5 million net per season.
Tuttosport claims terms with the player are settled, while La Gazzetta dello Sport says Aston Villa would consider bids of about €15 million in this window.
Arsenal are set to appoint former Villa head of medical services Arnaldo Abrantes as first-team doctor, with David Ornstein of The Athletic reporting an agreement. The 39-year-old previously held a similar role at Nottingham Forest and is a former sprinter who won Portuguese 100m and 200m titles, competing at the 2008 Beijing and 2012 London Olympics.
Wolves completed the free return of Raul Jimenez last night. The club confirmed a two-year deal, with an option of a further 12 months, just after 11pm UK time following his departure from Fulham.
