Stones offers Inter injury update: ‘A slight injury, but I’m already working to get back’ | OneFootball

John Stones has reassured Inter supporters that the muscle problem he suffered against Udinese is minor, and that he expects to return once the international break is over.

Tthe England defender posted an update on Instagram after being forced off in the 61st minute of the matchday four fixture.

“I picked up a slight injury in the last game, but I’m already working to get back after the international break!” He wrote.

Chivu hoping for Stones return after break

It is welcome news for Cristian Chivu. The Englishman was one of Inter’s most significant summer arrivals, brought in to add experience and leadership to the back line, and the champions face a congested fixture list once club football resumes.

He missed Saturday’s 2-2 draw with Roma at the Olimpico, where Inter again had to recover from two goals down, the third Serie A match running in which they have done so. The Nerazzurri have conceded early and often, and Chivu will want his most experienced defender back as soon as possible.
