Strasbourg add Newcastle to pre-season programme | OneFootball

L'Équipe reports that Strasbourg have added a trip to Newcastle on 16 August, a 17:00 kick-off at St-James' Park, as their final warm-up before travelling to Marseille on 21 August for matchday one of Ligue 1.

The Alsace side, eighth in Ligue 1 last season, set out a pre-season programme of five friendlies and a training camp in Faro, Portugal, on Tuesday, then confirmed an extra game the following day.

Their summer begins on 20 July against Sporting Portugal at the Stade Algarve in Faro, 21:00.

They meet Blackburn Rovers behind closed doors at the Faro training centre on 25 July at 19:00, then play Brighton in another closed-door double-header on the first of August, kicking off at 12:00 and 14:15.

Strasbourg host SV Elversberg in Haguenau on the fourth of August at 18:00, then visit SC Fribourg in Fribourg, Germany, on the eighth of August behind closed doors.
