Strasbourg close to signing Real Madrid forward Jacobo Ortega, eyeing Omari Kellyman | OneFootball

Strasbourg are close to an agreement with Real Madrid to sign 20-year-old forward Jacobo Ortega.

According to L'Équipe, talks over Ortega accelerated on Friday and the clubs are nearing a deal. The Spaniard had three years remaining on his Madrid contract.

Ortega scored four goals in 10 Youth League matches last season. He netted his side’s only strike in the final, won against Club Bruges after a 1-1 draw and a 4-2 shootout.

Strasbourg are also close to a deal for Omari Kellyman from Chelsea, with a buy-back clause planned in the transfer.

The 20-year-old versatile forward joined the Blues from Aston Villa for €22.5m in 2024.

He scored 11 goals in 36 English third-tier matches during his loan at Cardiff City last season.

The moves would extend a busy window in Alsace.
