Strasbourg have signed 21-year-old winger Fabio Baldé from Hamburg on a contract running to 2031. The club confirmed the deal on Friday.

The fee is seven million euros, excluding bonuses. The Portugal Under-21 international, capped twice with one goal, can operate on either flank and strengthens a wide department depleted since the start of the summer window.

Born and developed in Hamburg, Baldé has spent the past two years with the German club’s first-team group.

Last season he made 16 Bundesliga appearances and scored once.
