Strasbourg’s supporters’ federation has called for president Marc Keller to step down after Rosenior left mid-season for Chelsea, another BlueCo club. According to Le Progres, the group wants him to leave now.
Tuesday’s announcement sparked anger among fans opposed to BlueCo’s control of both clubs and demanding a change of governance.
The switch follows several dealings between the clubs, notably captain Emmanuel Emegha’s transfer, agreed in September and due next summer.
In a communiqué, the federation called Rosenior’s move a further humiliating step in Strasbourg’s subordination to Chelsea. It argued the problem is structural and about the future of French club football, and criticised Keller’s persistence.
FSRCSA, with about 350 members, urged Keller to go immediately. Spokesman Alexandre said on Monday that Keller had stopped defending Strasbourg’s interests.
Ultra Boys 90, the main ultras group, also demanded change. Spokesman Maxime, for a 1,000-strong group, said governance must put Strasbourg first and urged authorities to halt a model he says harms football in France.
A cross-party bill from MP Éric Coquerel to ban multi-ownership was tabled in September and is to be examined at the Assemblée nationale soon. Rosenior, in his farewell press conference, rejected claims the ownership serves only one club and said time would prove him right.
