Under new manager Liam Rosenior, RC Strasbourg Alsace will get their Ligue 1 campaign underway with a visit to Montpellier HSC on Sunday afternoon.
Rosenior will be able to count on the presence of multiple new signings, including Caleb Wiley, on loan from Chelsea, and Guéla Doué, signed from Stade Rennais earlier this summer. However, there will be plenty of absentees too, including Andrey Santos, also signed from fellow BlueCo-owned side Chelsea. The Brazilian, who spent the second half of last season on loan at Strasbourg, is suspended.
Felix Lemarechal, signed from AS Monaco, is also out injured, as is Moíse Sahi Dion. Diego Moreira signed on a permanent deal from Chelsea, will likely have to settle for a place on the bench.
