RC Strasbourg Alsace will be without club captain Habib Diarra when they travel to face FC Nantes on Sunday. The midfielder is suffering from an ankle sprain and is not expected to return before the upcoming international break.

In his place, L’Équipe understands that Valentín Barco, a left-back by trade, may be pushed into the midfield to play alongside Andrey Santos, who is expected to inherit the armband for Strasbourg. With Barco moving into midfield, Diego Moreira may move back into the defence. Diarra isn’t the only absentee for Liam Rosenior’s side. Andrew Omobamidele also remains out and that is expected to remain the case until after the international break.

Thomas Delaine, Moise Sahi Dion and Abdoul Ouattara are the other absentees for Les Alsaciens.
