According to L’Équipe, RC Strasbourg Alsace are going to sign winger Oscar Perea (18), who is considered one of the brightest players in Colombia’s new generation of players.
Due to BlueCo’s ownership of Strasbourg, the French club will once again have significant means to bolster their squad this summer. All indications are that RCSA, like partner club Chelsea, will continue apace with their youth-centric recruitment strategy, which has been a point of contention for many of Les Alscaiens’ fans.
Despite failing in their pursuit of Pedro Lima, with Wolverhampton Wanderers hijacking the deal at the last moment, BlueCo continue to look towards South America in their pursuit of the most promising young prospects. Perea is likely to be the next young South American star to join a BlueCo-owned club.
L’Équipe understands that the left-winger will sign a four-year deal with Strasbourg for a reported fee of just over €5m. Perea, who has just six months remaining on his deal after featuring 44 times for Atletico Nacional in 2023, will leave the Colombia U20 training camp to undergo a medical on Monday, according to Colombian media.
