According to Le Progres, Strasbourg will face OL on Sunday in the French top flight with an almost complete group. Ismaël Doukouré returns from suspension and Samuel Amo-Ameyaw is back after illness, but Emmanuel Emegha is still out with a thigh issue.

Gary O’Neil replaced Liam Rosenior in January. On Friday, Paulo Fonseca acknowledged changes since the switch, but said he would not reveal them to avoid tipping off the staff of former Portsmouth, Middlesbrough or West Ham attacking midfielder Gary O’Neil.

On arrival, O’Neil outlined fewer man-marking duties and a deeper block to keep more players behind the ball.

Some talents have flourished under him. After a long barren spell late in 2025, top scorer Joaquin Panichelli has found the net again. Since the turn of the year, the main attacking threat has been Ivorian Martial Godo, who has six goals and two assists after being confined to Europa Conference League duty under Rosenior.

In midfield, the Argentinian Julio Enciso and youngster Samir El Mourabet have also emerged. El Mourabet has attended Lyon’s Pôle espoirs and played futsal.
