After making his return a week prior, Emanuel Emegha started for RC Strasbourg Alsace against Olympique de Marseille on Friday night, as Liam Rosenior’s side went on to lose 2-1.

The Dutchman, who completed his move to Chelsea earlier this move, will continue at Strasbourg until the end of the season. He has been out with an adductor injury in recent weeks and only made his return a fortnight ago.

However, Emegha was forced off an hour into RCSA’s game against OM at the Meinau. Whilst Rosenior could not provide an update on the player’s injury post-match, L’Équipe now understands that he will miss the club’s upcoming games against Bratislava and SCO Angers.

It means that the striker will not feature again before the international break. The publication understands that Emegha could make his return against current Ligue 1 leaders, Paris Saint-Germain, on 17th October, the first game after the international break.
