Mamadou Sarr suffered an ankle injury during Strasbourg’s 0-0 Ligue 1 draw with Lorient on Sunday.

He twisted his ankle and was taken off at half-time, according to L'Équipe.

The 20-year-old left Stade de la Meinau on crutches.

He has one Senegal cap and is in Pape Thiaw’s squad for the Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.

With the tournament running from 21 December to 18 January, the issue may concern Senegal.
