There is already one player who is guaranteed to make the switch from RC Strasbourg Alsace in the summer, and there could yet be further movement, according to a report from Guillem Balague

Strasbourg club captain Emanuel Emegha will move to Stamford Bridge at the end of the season, as confirmed back in September. He could yet be joined in London by Valentin Barco (21). The Argentina international has excelled since joining Le Racing from Brighton and Hove Albion, initially on loan in the winter of 2025.

Barco’s move to the Meinau was made permanent last summer and he has asserted himself as a key member of the squad, firstly under Liam Rosenior and now under Gary O’Neil. In all competitions, he has played 34 times this season, scoring once and registering nine assists.

Any negotiations would, of course, be simplified given the fact that Strasbourg and Chelsea share the same BlueCo owners. Balague understands that Barco is “very close” to a move to the latter.
