Liverpool have made a lot of changes to their team throughout the 2025-26 season.
Whether that be by moving players on or bringing them in, the squad who won the Premier League last term looked completely different by the start of the next campaign.
On the face of things this felt positive with FSG actually willing to spend a decent chunk of change to improve Liverpool's ranks.
However, things just haven't gone to plan and now, a striker could be on his way back to L4.

Since attackers such as Alexander Isak, Florian Wirtz and Hugo Ekitike were all welcomed through the Anfield doors in the summer, there wasn't really much room for Liverpool's youngster's to break into Slot's first-team.
Of course, Rio Ngumoha was the exception to this rule but even the young Englishman has failed to make much of an impact on the team.
Granted, this isn't solely down to the attacker with most of the blame being placed upon the shoulders of Slot for not playing him all that often.
This meant that several of Liverpool's academy players were sent out on loan and now, as per an update from GiveMeSport, it seems like Lewis Koumas could be on his way home.
The young Englishman was sent on a season-long loan to Birmingham after a rather successful spell with Stoke City the season before.
Most fans thought that the striker would be a regular starter for the Championship outfit but unfortunately, things just haven't gone to plan.
And, now that the Blues have signed Abdoulie Manneh, it seems like there's no longer a place for Koumas in their squad.
"Manneh’s arrival will add pace to Chris Davies’s attacking options as Birmingham seek to give their play-off aspirations a push," they wrote.
"And his signing is likely to see Lewis Koumas sent back to Liverpool later this month.
"Birmingham have been lacking genuine pace in forward areas and the youngster will be detailed with adding this."
