FC Barcelona have identified the Atletico Madrid forward Julian Alvarez as their main candidate to replace Robert Lewandowski, and the Argentine is also their top-priority transfer target for this summer. The Blaugranes are set to make their moves for him after the end of the World Cup, and it remains to be seen how this saga will end.
However, that does not mean that there are not going to be other additions to the Catalan team’s attack. They have already signed Anthony Gordon from Newcastle United and Laporta has also confirmed the signing of Karim Adeyemi from Borussia Dortmund.
There could be even more new signings for the attack, especially if one of their current players leaves. In recent days, the forward Ferran Torres has been strongly linked with the French powerhouse Paris Saint-Germain, and his departure can open the door for another player’s signing for Barcelona.
In such a context, SPORT reports that the Serbian striker Dusan Vlahovic is hoping that such a move takes place so he can complete his desired move to the Blaugrana club, even though he has a very succulent offer on the table from the Turkish club Besiktas. He continues to wait for things to clear up at the Catalan club, but the Turks have issued him an ultimatum until tomorrow to give them a response about their offer.
Besiktas is offering Vlahovic a three-year contract with €8 million in yearly wages, but if he does not give a response soon, this offer would collapse. He has also been linked with other sides, like Atletico Madrid, but this operation did not move beyond initial inquiries. Juventus, with whom his contract ended at the end of the last month, can also give him a new deal.
Meanwhile, Dusan Vlahovic has offered himself to Barcelona, but the Catalans would not consider him unless Ferran Torres leaves, and even then they would have some other alternatives in sight, including the Hoffenheim striker Fisnik Asllani.
