“Since becoming part of the VfB family, Angelo has shaped the team’s level and playing culture. He sets the tempo on the pitch and his character is an important cornerstone of the structure of our team," said Stuttgart board member for sport Fabian Wohlgemuth.

"We’re pleased that, with this contract extension, we’re able to keep an essential part of our VfB identity at the club for a while longer.”

Stiller was delighted to sign his new deal, commenting:

“It’s been a perfect fit between VfB and me from day one. We’ve embarked on a successful path that we will continue together. I’ve experienced some wonderful moments here, from finishing as Bundesliga runners-up, to participating in the Champions League and obviously making my debut for the national team.

"I hope there are many more to come in the future. I would like to thank the people in charge at VfB for the appreciation they have shown me with this contract extension.”

The 23-year-old joined Stuttgart from Hoffenheim for a reported fee of 5.5 million in the summer of 2023.

Since then, he has gone on to make 64 appearances with three goals and 11 assists to his name.
