VfB Stuttgart have rejected a late proposal from Roma for Jamie Leweling, according to Sky Germany.

The bid was a season-long loan with an obligation to buy at the end of the campaign.

The proposal involved around €5 million as a loan fee, with the total package exceeding €40 million.

Stuttgart were not interested in that structure, with the club reliant on transfer income this summer and preferring a larger upfront payment.

Premier League sides and Inter are also monitoring the 24-year-old winger from Germany.
