Stuttgart ‘to accelerate’ Deniz Undav contract talks as extension terms diverge

Stuttgart are set to accelerate talks over a new deal for Deniz Undav, yet negotiations could be complicated, Sport Bild reports.

The forward’s long-term future remains unclear. The 29-year-old’s contract runs until 2027, and the club are determined not to enter its final year.

A breakthrough is not guaranteed. Undav is said to want a three-year extension, while the club favour two years.

He is also not expected to receive a rise on his current €4.5 million a year salary.

If talks stall, Stuttgart could look to cash in during the summer. Leading European clubs, including some Premier League sides, have reportedly expressed interest.
