Isra Suero needed only moments to swing CD Castellón’s game with Albacete, entering on minute 57 to a SkyFi Castalia ovation and scoring the second past Diego Mariño six minutes later, before hitting a post.
According to El Periódico Mediterráneo, the midfielder is weighing a financially attractive offer from Maccabi Tel-Aviv, with the Israeli window open until 16 September. He is under contract at Castellón until 30 June 2027 and the decision largely rests with him.
Since last season he has six goals and four assists as a substitute, a direct hand in 10. For much of 2025/2026 he led the league for bench goal involvements, reaching four goals and four assists by late March.
He added another on the final day, coming on in minute 64 against Eibar and netting six minutes later for a 2-1 that sealed a play-off place and sixth spot. This season he was unused against Real Sociedad B, played the last 23 against Sabadell, missed Celta Fortuna amid exit talk, then returned versus Albacete. He has one goal in his first 56 LaLiga Hypermotion minutes.
Despite that output he is yet to start in the opening four league fixtures. Pablo Hernández said he wants him to stay and that he would be important if he remains, adding he had planned to start Suero against Celta Fortuna before the late proposal led to his omission.
