Brighton vs West Ham

Sunday, 14:00Live on Sky Sports

Of the referees to make at least eight Premier League appearances this term, Simon Hooper has the highest cards per game average (4.75Y and 0.25R). He takes charge of this clash so naturally the player card market is worth a look.

Diego Gomez is the standout price at 7/2 with the Sportsbook. Based on his cards per 90 average, I was expecting a point shorter.

Gomez has picked up four cards in 788 Premier League minutes and could anchor Brighton's midfield, as he has done in his side's last two games.

There is a risk Gomez gets dropped or pushed further up the pitch as Yasin Ayari and Carlos Belaba are both fit so it is worth keeping an eye on team news.

Fulham vs Crystal Palace

Sunday, 16:30Live on Sky Sports

Samuel Barrott ranks a close second to Simon Hooper in terms of cards per game averages in the English top flight. Barrott is averaging 4.88 a game and is in charge at Craven Cottage so once again we're heading to the player card market.

Marc Guehi's price of 4/1 with the Sportsbook to be carded is a touch big.

Guehi has two cards in 13 league starts this season, both of which have come in his last three appearances.

Last season, the defender picked up 9Y and 1R across 34 appearances and operating on the left side of a back three and he should be tasked with containing Kenny Tete and Harry Wilson on Sunday.

Fulham's pair have drawn an average of 3.1 fouls a game this season and when starting together have drawn cards from opposition left sided centre backs in two of eight games.

At 21/1, I cannot resist combining the pair of players touted in a card double for Sunday Sunday's action. That's Gomez and Guehi.

Lorient vs Lyon

Sunday, 19:45

Lyon head to Lorient on Sunday in Ligue 1 and given the visitors' disciplinary record, the red card markets are worth flagging.

Lyon have had four players sent off in the league this season (joint-most in division), which is a plus for the following angles, but the sheer amount of games that they have been involved in with a red card is staggering.

Across their 14 games in the French top flight, there has been a red card in half of Lyon's games including five of their last six.

A red card in the match can be backed at 9/2 at the Stade du Moustoir and both teams to have a red card is 90/1. The latter landed in Lyon's trip to Paris FC at the end of October.

Lorient's games have seen four red cards this campaign - which is a bit disappointing - but the hosts have picked up the joint-third-most yellow cards (31) in the league so they clearly don't mind getting stuck in.

Referee Mathieu Vernice is yet to dish out a red this season but across his career in Ligue 1, he has brandished 14 in 47 appearances.
