Sunderland ensured they went in to the November international break on a high at the weekend, with a 3-1 win over Birmingham City at The Stadium of Light.
After summer signing Jobe Bellingham put the Black Cats ahead against his old club, Koji Miyoshi's strike ensured the two sides went in all-square at half time.
However, a Dion Sanderson own goal and substitute Adil Aochiche's effort ensured the hosts claimed all three points.
As a result, Tony Mowbray's side are now unbeaten in their last three league games, winning two of those.
That run has seen them climb back up to sixth in the Championship table, as they look to at least match their run to the play-offs from last season.
So with all that in mind, we've taken a look at some of the latest news stories to have emerged from Sunderland recently, right here.
It was a landmark day for Jobe Bellingham on Saturday, as he came up against Birmingham for the first time since leaving the club to join Sunderland in the summer.
The 18-year-old would mark the occasion in style by opening the scoring to set the Black Cats on their way to victory, and he would later take to Instagram to post a series of pictures of him celebrating his goal.
One of those to respond to that was his older brother Jude, who of course also played for Birmingham and now find himself starring at Real Madrid, who replied to that post from Jobe by simply commenting: "enough said".
One player who Sunderland have been forced to do without for some time now is club captain Corry Evans.
The midfielder suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury back in January, and has been unable to make an appearnace for the club ever since, although it seems he is now gradually moving closer to the next step on his road to recovery.
Providing an update on his efforts to regain his fitness, the Northern Ireland international told The Sunderland Echo that things are going well and that he is on track with his recovery, meaning he is hopeful of being back in training in the next six weeks, so he could be back in action after the turn of the year.
Having joined Sunderland back in the summer transfer window from PSV Eindhoven, Jenson Seelt has been forced to wait for his chance in the Sunderland side so far this season.
However, that opportunity would finally come in the win over Birmingham on Saturday, with the centre back making his first start for Sunderland, after just two substitute appearances for the club prior to that.
Speaking after the game though, Mowbray admitted the form of Dan Ballard and Luke O'Nien had made it hard for the 20-year-old to be given a chance.
The Sunderland boss did though praise him for his performance against the Blues, which could hint at more opportunities, with a stint in midfield seemingly also considered for Seelt by Mowbray, who told The Sunderland Echo: “I thought Jenson was good. In our minds, we’ve been wanting to get him on the pitch but it’s difficult [with Ballard and O’Nien’s form].
“Really, he was going to come on and play.. he can play holding midfield and we thought he would come on and roll into midfield like we do with Trai Hume often. Jenson can do that because he’s so talented with the ball at his feet.
“Today he stood up to the test, you could see at times that it was a bit quick when they really jumped on us and pressed, there were times when it was a fraction of a second away from us being caught on the ball.” .
