Sunderland and Leeds United have been linked with monitoring Real Madrid forward Endrick, with Tottenham Hotspur also mentioned, according to Fichajes. The 19-year-old Brazil international is on loan at Lyon and has made an immediate impact in Ligue 1.

The report should be treated with caution. Previous high-profile links, including repeated suggestions of a move for Barcelona midfielder Fermín López, never came close to materialising.

Real Madrid are said to be in no rush to decide his short-term future, preferring a calm, strategic approach to his development. He is seen as a long-term asset, with the Lyon spell intended to provide regular senior minutes rather than signpost a permanent exit.

Endrick officially joined Madrid in July 2024 after an agreement with Palmeiras announced in December 2022. The deal was reported to be worth up to £51million and he signed a six-year contract.

He scored on his La Liga debut against Real Valladolid, becoming Real Madrid’s youngest foreign goalscorer in the competition, then netted on his Champions League debut against Stuttgart. He also finished joint second top scorer in the Copa del Rey as Madrid reached the final.

After a hamstring injury last season, a six-month loan to Lyon was sanctioned in December. Lyon are understood to have paid around £850,000 and to be covering roughly half of his wages, and Endrick has already scored in the Coupe de France against Lille and hit a Ligue 1 hat-trick against Metz.
