Figures from awaydaymiles.com show Newcastle United supporters will travel 6,868 miles in 2026/27, the most in the Premier League, with Sunderland second on 6,704.

The Premier League released the 2026/27 fixtures on Friday, so plans can begin. Sunderland are also preparing for a first ever Europa League campaign after a seventh-placed finish under Regis Le Bris last season.

Travelling support drew widespread praise as the Black Cats backed the team throughout a memorable year. Highlights included a hard-earned draw at champions Liverpool, a superb win at Chelsea and a historic Tyne-Wear derby success at Newcastle United.

Aston Villa record 3,774, Nottingham Forest 3,670 and Coventry City the fewest at 3,624. Sunderland’s away following looks set to clock the miles again at home and abroad.
