In an away clash against Bournemouth on Saturday, as part of Premier League matchweek 28, Sunderland secured a valuable point with a 1-1 draw. On this occasion, Bertrand Traoré made his return to the pitch after a 53-day absence due to an injury sustained during the Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.

Bertrand Traoré entered the match in the 69th minute, replacing Chamseddine Talbi. In this 1-1 draw between Sunderland and Bournemouth, the Burkina Faso international clocked 21 minutes in his first appearance back in competitive action.

Régis Le Bris can now once again count on the former Chelsea and Aston Villa star, who has repeatedly expressed his regret at being sidelined. Since his arrival at the start of the season from Ajax Amsterdam, the Stallions' captain has established himself as a key player for the newly promoted Premier League side.
