Sunderland have returned 65 away tickets to sale for Sunday’s Tyne-Wear derby at St James’ Park. The club said in a statement that, following a review, tickets bought by a supporter who breached away-ticket policies were cancelled, 65 seats were reissued, and a limited batch would be available from 12pm today.

The allocation process is designed to ensure tickets reach genuine supporters and to protect the integrity of distribution.

The extra seats are expected to be in high demand as Sunderland fans prepare to travel to Tyneside for the latest instalment of the rivalry.

The Black Cats won the reverse fixture at the Stadium of Light 1-0 earlier this season, courtesy of a Woltemade own goal.

Purchasing or sharing tickets in breach of the terms may result in cancellations and possible suspension from attending home matches.
