Bertrand Traoré is weighing up his next move after leaving Sunderland earlier this summer.
According to Sunderland Echo, FC Porto have made an inquiry, with head coach Francesco Farioli someone Traoré knows from their time together at Ajax. Porto won the Primeira Liga last season, so will feature in the Champions League. Al Shabab and Ligue 1 side Nice have also asked about the 30-year-old, while Premier League clubs are monitoring, though none of the interest has advanced yet.
Traoré joined on deadline day from Ajax last summer and quickly became a regular in Régis Le Bris’s XI during the first half of the campaign. His momentum was checked by an injury at the Africa Cup of Nations.
He returned for a brief substitute outing at Leeds United at Elland Road, but suffered a recurrence and did not play again.
After talks, Sunderland chose not to activate an option to extend his deal for another season on Wearside.
The winger is now considering his options, with potential destinations being assessed before any decision.
