Sunderland have stepped up their interest in Napoli midfielder Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa, with a bid said to be on the table. According to Il Mattino, the offer has been rejected and Napoli are holding out for around £17 million. The report adds that head coach Max Allegri wants to keep the former Fulham player for the coming season.

The 30-year-old has been repeatedly linked with the Wearsiders since their Premier League return last year. The fee quoted is one Sunderland have yet to match.

Fabrizio Romano reports that long-term target Jhon Lucumì is on the cusp of joining Juventus, with the Colombian due in Turin on Saturday to complete a medical. It is claimed an agreement is in place and that documents are now being exchanged.

Lucumì was heavily touted for a move to the Stadium of Light last summer, only for Bologna to block his departure. The Serie A club now appear resigned to his exit.

Foot Mercato reports that Sunderland are unlikely to complete a move for Marseille forward Timothy Weah this summer. The United States international is said to be content at OM and would only consider leaving for a sporting challenge significantly greater than the one currently on offer, so a switch to the Stadium of Light is considered improbable.
