Sunderland have no intention of selling Brian Brobbey before the deadline, despite surprise links with a move to Como.

According to Sunderland Echo, the Italian side have shown interest in the 24-year-old Netherlands international, but sources on Wearside have dismissed any prospect of him leaving this window. Brobbey remains an important part of Régis Le Bris’ plans.

Brobbey joined from Ajax last summer in a deal worth around €20 million plus €5 million in potential add-ons, approximately £17 million rising to £21.5 million.
