Charlton defender Jason Pearce is a target for three League One clubs this summer with his contract due to expire in south London.

Pearce played 26 times in all competitions for Lee Bowyer’s side last season as they beat Sunderland in the play-off final to return to the Championship.

But the Addicks have opted against giving the 31-year-old an extension to his deal, meaning the veteran defender will be available for free.

Three League One sides are interested, including Sunderland, Oxford United and Portsmouth.

However according to the Portsmouth News, Pearce is veering towards a move to Fratton Park, having started his career there as a schoolboy.
