Marco Gabbiadini has urged Brian Brobbey to take confidence from his display at Manchester City and build on it when league action resumes next month.

The former Ajax forward got off the mark for the season with a clinical treble at the Etihad, though Regis Le Bris' side lost 5-3 after troubling the City defence. Gabbiadini said: "They were not spectacular goals - it was good finishing and being in the right place. It was a good performance, as there has been a lot of talk about his goals output." He was speaking to BBC Newcastle.
