Sunderland’s loanees have had mixed fortunes, with two Black Cats eyeing Championship play-offs. According to Sunderland Echo, Anthony Patterson and Alan Browne remain in the hunt.
Dan Neil aided loan club Ipswich Town to second, coming on late in a 3-0 final-day win over Queens Park Rangers that sealed a top-flight return. He has 16 outings, and a permanent move is unclear amid links to Coventry City and recently relegated Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Patterson joined Millwall in January, reuniting with former Sunderland boss Alex Neil. He has six clean sheets in 14 and will hope to help the Lions through the play-offs.
Browne has been a regular for Boro, making 39 appearances with four goals and three assists. Kim Hellberg’s side now meet Southampton in a two-legged semi-final next week.
Simon Adingra joined Monaco in January, scoring three in 15 and featuring in a Champions League play-off round tie against Paris Saint-Germain. Jenson Seelt has only 10 outings, plus a DFB-Pokal red card, and last played in December’s 4-3 defeat to Freiburg.
Arthur Masuaku has played only five times for Lens, with injuries and a red card limiting him. Timothee Pembele has 13 Ligue 1 appearances, only two as a starter.
Leo Hjelde has eight appearances for the Blades since January, with two starts under Chris Wilder. Aji Alese has just one substitute outing after a serious groin injury in a 1-0 loss to Preston North End in February.
Nazariy Rusyn has four goals in 24 games. Niall Huggins has 23 outings for Wanderers, one goal and two assists, while Luis Semedo has three in 19, including goals against Estoril, Nacional and Amadora.
