Sunderland have dispatched a sizeable group on loan over the last two windows for minutes, fitness and experience. According to Sunderland Echo, returns range from promotion tilts to painful injuries.

Simon Adingra joined Monaco in January, scoring three in 10 and playing both legs of a Champions League play-off round with Paris Saint-Germain. Anthony Patterson has three clean sheets in seven for Millwall under Alex Neil, while Dan Neil has 10 outings for Ipswich amid speculation it could become permanent when his Black Cats deal expires at season’s end.
