Sunderland will reopen a permanent club store in The Bridges on Friday, in partnership with Fanatics, returning to the city centre after a long absence, Sunderland Echo reports.

It opens at nine am on 12 June with a fan launch featuring mascots Samson and Delilah. The first customer will receive a gift, with further giveaways including hospitality tickets and signed shirts.

The outlet will complement the Stadium of Light shop, which remains the club’s flagship retail destination. It has been designed with a broader gifting range alongside the core kit offer.

The move follows momentum from a seventh-placed Premier League finish that secured Europa League football, the club’s first European campaign in more than 50 years. A 2-1 win over Chelsea at the Stadium of Light sealed qualification.

Friday also marks the launch of the 2026-27 training wear collection with Hummel, available in-store from nine am. It is the first of several summer drops, with home, away and third kits to follow.

The away kit has been teased to feature a special American connection. The new shop has created jobs ahead of opening.
