Sunderland squad value compared with Premier League rivals after Methalie and Fofana deals | OneFootball

According to TransferMarkt, Sunderland’s squad is valued at €421.28m, £358.34m, placing the club 14th in the Premier League following a measured summer window.

Manchester City top the rankings, ahead of Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool. Manchester United are fifth, with Tottenham Hotspur sixth.

This summer’s headline business was a Ligue 1 double move, with Lyon winger Malick Fofana and Toulouse left-back Dayaan Methalie joining for about £50m combined. Royal Antwerp’s promising young midfielder Jules Ahoka, Tottenham Hotspur defender Kevin Danso and Belgium international full-back Thomas Meunier also arrived.

Regis Le Bris reshaped the squad after promotion via a Championship play-off final win over Sheffield United. The additions of Granit Xhaka, Robin Roefs and Brian Brobbey underpinned a seventh-place finish and a Europa League berth.

In the value table, Sunderland sit behind Nottingham Forest and ahead of Leeds United. Newcastle United are seventh, with Brighton and Hove Albion eighth, while Brentford, Crystal Palace, AFC Bournemouth and Aston Villa complete the current top 12.
