Sunderland’s squad is valued at €381.95m, ranking 16th in the Premier League ahead of the summer window. According to Sunderland Echo, that leaves the Black Cats behind the majority of the division despite a strong campaign.
Regis Le Bris reshaped the group last summer, bringing in Granit Xhaka, Robin Roefs, Brian Brobbey and Nordi Mukiele. Nilson Angulo, Melker Ellborg and Jocelin Ta Bi followed in January. The overhaul has underpinned a 2025/26 season spent well clear of relegation and nudging the European places.
At the top end, Manchester City lead the valuations at €1.31bn, ahead of Arsenal on €1.23bn, Chelsea on €1.16bn and Liverpool on €1.02bn. Sunderland sit just below Fulham at €386.95m and above West Ham United at €362.95m.
Their overall figure is tempered by a spine built largely on defenders, with Roefs, Mukiele and Dan Ballard among the most reliable performers. Xhaka has been influential, though at 33 his market value is naturally tapering.
Record buy Habib Diarra is currently the club’s most valuable player at €32m, with Noah Sadiki next on €30m. Five others are priced at €25m, Brobbey, Enzo Le Fee, Roefs, Chemsdine Talbi and Chris Rigg.
