Sunderland ‘to explore’ £77m triple transfer package as new targets emerge | OneFootball

Sunderland are being linked with an ambitious triple transfer push that could total between £68.5m and £77m as Florent Ghisolfi weighs options for the new season.

Tele Radio Stereo reports that the club have made an enquiry for Roma winger Matias Soulé, 23, valued at just over €35m, about £30m. Sunderland are understood to have sought information only, though transfer operations director Florent Ghisolfi helped take Soulé from Juventus to Roma in 2024.

Sunderland have also been linked with Parma centre-back Mariano Troilo. Fulham are said to have had a bid of around €20m, roughly £17m, rejected, with Leeds United and Sunderland in the frame as Parma seek more than £17m. The 23-year-old joined from Belgrano for about €8m, £6.8m, and impressed late last season.

The Black Cats are further credited with interest in Sassuolo defender Tarik Muharemović. His estimated price is put at €25m to €35m, around £21.5m to £30m, and Juventus are reported to hold a buy-back clause near €18m, about £15.5m.

Collectively, the mooted fees sit around £68.5m to £77m, depending on Muharemović’s valuation and Parma’s stance on Troilo. Sunderland’s first team return to training at the Academy of Light today.
