Sunderland’s Europa League qualification has stirred early summer speculation over ins and outs. According to TEAMtalk, the Black Cats are monitoring Aston Villa striker Tammy Abraham amid suggestions he could depart. He joined in January for about £21m and made 12 Premier League appearances, 10 from the bench.
Away from potential arrivals, departures are also being mooted. Sky Sports News reports that goalkeeper Anthony Patterson is a target for Wrexham, with recently relegated Wolves and Millwall also interested. Sunderland are said to seek £8m to £10m, and he spent the second half of 2025/26 on loan at Millwall.
Fringe midfielder Milan Aleksic is being lined up for a move. Mozzart Sport says he is set to join Partizan Belgrade on a season-long loan, with the terms of any option to buy still to be finalised.
Nazariy Rusyn is also being linked with a move away from Wearside. His Sunderland contract runs to 2027, so any exit in the near future would more likely be permanent. He has previously had loan spells with Hajduk Split and Arka Gdynia.
With the window approaching, further speculation is expected as Sunderland assess options on both fronts.
