Sunderland welcome Bournemouth to the Stadium of Light on Saturday, aiming to bounce back from a narrow defeat at Fulham.
That loss ended a four-match unbeaten run. However, Régis Le Bris’s side remain in a fantastic position, sitting seventh in the table. The Black Cats will rely on their formidable home form to get a result. In fact, they are unbeaten in their six Premier League matches at the Stadium of Light this season.
Furthermore, they are one of only three teams in the league yet to concede more than two goals in a match this term. A win on Saturday would see them equal their home points tally from their entire last top-flight campaign.
Sunderland manager Régis Le Bris has confirmed a largely clean bill of health for the visit of Bournemouth. Only Habib Diarra and Aji Alese are unavailable.
Although the squad is boosted by the return of Romaine Mundle, Dennis Cirkin, and Leo Hjelde to training, the manager will not rush them back into action. All three featured for the Under-21s to build fitness. However, they are unlikely to start in the Premier League this weekend.
With no fresh injury concerns, Le Bris is expected to name an unchanged side. Top scorer Wilson Isidor will continue to lead the line. He will receive support from the creative midfield duo of Enzo Le Fée and captain Granit Xhaka. Meanwhile, the club is taking a cautious approach with Habib Diarra’s groin injury ahead of AFCON.
Sunderland predicted XI: Roefs; Hume, Mukiele, Ballard, Geertruida, Reinildo; Xhaka, Sadiki; Traore, Isidor, Le Fee
The Premier League fixture takes place at the Stadium of Light today, Saturday, 29 November 2025. Kick-off is scheduled for 3:00 pm GMT.
This match will not air live in the UK due to the 3:00 pm GMT Saturday blackout. However, highlights will be available on the Sky Sports app shortly after full-time and on BBC’s Match of the Day at 10:50 pm GMT.
