Penshaw’s Princess, a 19-year-old Shetland at Penshaw Equestrian Centre, has picked England to beat Congo in their first 2026 World Cup knockout tie on Wednesday.
According to Sunderland Echo, the pony correctly called the win over Panama last week and has been called upon again. England are favourites with the bookmakers.
With the group stage complete and every game now knockout, she was asked to choose between two labelled feed bowls, win or lose. She chose the bowl predicting an England victory.
It is not her first stint as a predictor at the yard and she is known for never missing feeding time.
England face Congo at Atlanta Stadium on Wednesday, 1 July, with kick-off at 5pm UK time.
