Arsenal have it all in their own hands and really couldn’t have asked for an easier set of fixtures for the end of the Premier League title run-in.
The Gunners have a two-point lead over Manchester City at the top of the table, and take on Burnley at home and Crystal Palace away in their final two fixtures.
Pep Guardiola’s side, meanwhile, are away to Bournemouth just days after the FA Cup final and then take on Aston Villa at the Etihad Stadium on the final day.
According to Opta Analyst, Arsenal have statistically the easiest fixtures, while Man City’s are the fifth hardest…
According to the Opta Power Rankings, Arsenal have the easiest remaining fixtures of 2025-26 of any team in the Premier League.https://t.co/Qt7Q44BiHF pic.twitter.com/Ot4CtAKOgy
Further analysis on their website gives Arsenal an 86.5% chance of finishing in first place, so all the data is really pointing in their favour.
This is unlikely to make Arsenal fans feel much calmer, though, as it would really represent such a monumental cock-up if they don’t win the title from such a strong position.
Champions League places are still up for grabs after Liverpool lost to Aston Villa last night, while we’re also in for a tense end to the relegation battle as Tottenham and West Ham can still both finish in 18th.
Bournemouth can still qualify for the Champions League, but have tough remaining fixtures, with Opta ranking them as third on the list.
Brighton can also get in with a bit of luck, and their fixtures have been ranked as slightly easier, but there’s not a huge amount in it.
Spurs and West Ham, meanwhile, are right next to each other in the lower-middle end of the rankings, so it’s really hard to make a firm prediction about how the battle for survival will pan out.
