Scottish Premiership Supercomputer: Hearts predicted to win title with Celtic unable to cut gap at the top despite Brendan Rodgers’ departure

Following a dramatic weekend in the Scottish Premiership, Brendan Rodgers’ resignation as Celtic boss has thrown the title race open.

With Hearts having opened up an eight-point gap at the top of the table after their statement win, Celtic have parted ways with Rodgers, who has been replaced with Martin O’Neill on an interim basis. Despite the change, the AceOdds Supercomputer predicts that Celtic will be unable to bridge the gap to Hearts, finishing five points behind the Edinburgh club.

Rangers have been through their own managerial change of late, with Danny Rohl claiming his first win in charge against Kilmarnock at the weekend. Having suffered a terrible start to the season, however, they are projected to finish a distant third, ahead of Hibernian, Kilmarnock and St Mirren in the Championship group.

Meanwhile, at the bottom, Livingston are forecast to be relegated, with Aberdeen expected to pick up their form and finish eighth after their poor start. Scottish Premiership Supercomputer:
