The 2026 Supercoppa Italiana will be played as a single match on 22 December 2026 at San Siro at 21:00 CEST: Inter and Lazio will face each other at the Meazza in the 39th edition of the Supercoppa, officially known as the EA SPORTS FC Supercup. Lega Calcio Serie A has officially confirmed the date, time, venue and regulations for the match.
THE FORMAT
The competition will be decided over a single match. If the scores are level after the 90 minutes, two 15-minute periods of extra time will be played. Should the teams still be level after extra time, the winner will be decided by a penalty shootout, in accordance with the procedures set out in the “Regulations of the Game of Football” under “Procedures to Determine the Winning Team of a Match”.
During the match, each team will be permitted a maximum of five substitutions, using no more than three stoppages, in addition to the interval between the two halves. Should extra time be played, a fourth stoppage will be permitted, in addition to those between the end of normal time and the start of extra time and between the first and second periods of extra time. Only in the event of extra time, one further substitution will also be permitted, taking the maximum to six.
THE SUSPENSION RULES
Lega Calcio Serie A’s regulations for the Supercoppa Italiana also set out how suspensions will be handled for players and coaches who are one booking away from a suspension in the match preceding the Supercoppa:

The EA SPORTS FC Supercup between Inter and Lazio, scheduled for Tuesday 22 December 2026 at 21:00 CEST, will be broadcast live on Mediaset.
