The Partenopei are the defending Serie A champions and beat Milan in the Supercoppa semifinal last week, while Bologna, the 2024-25 Coppa Italia champions, beat Inter on penalties.

The Partenopei must cope without the injured Alex Meret, Kevin De Bruyne, Billy Gilmour and Frank Zambo Anguissa, while Bologna will be without Federico Bernardeschi, Lukasz Skorupski, Remo Freuler and Nicolò Casale.

According to Corriere dello Sport and Gazzetta, Conte won’t change the formation that beat Milan on Thursday, which means Juan Jesus will get the nod in central defence, leaving Alessandro Buongiorno on the bench.

Eljif Elmas will start as an attacking midfielder alongside David Neres.

Bologna, who already beat Napoli 2-0 in Serie A in November, will likely look to Dallinga up front, according to Corriere dello Sport.

The Dutchman scored a goal in the Rossoblu’s latest win against the Partenopei last month.

Giovanni Fabbian is favourite over Jens Odgaard as an attacking midfielder, while Scotland international Lewis Ferguson will join Tommaso Pobega in the middle of the park.
