Surprise for Manuel Neuer on hitting 600 competitive appearances

A sweet surprise for Manuel Neuer! To mark his 600th competitive appearance for FC Bayern last Friday against VfB Stuttgart, the captain was presented with a special gift from the record champions' players and management. Before the final training session ahead of the DFB Cup first round tie in Osnabrück, sporting director Christoph Freund presented the FCB goalkeeper with a cake, which Neuer was able to enjoy with his teammates after the session.

Neuer has been playing for FC Bayern since the summer of 2012 and has kept 269 clean sheets in 600 competitive appearances for the German record champions. Find out more about the number one’s milestone here:
