Svensson was shown a red card last week for a foul on Tottenham's Wilson Odobert after VAR intervention in the 26th minute. As BVB already did without him in Wednesday's home game against Inter Milan, Svensson will be eligible to play again in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League play-off (17/18 February).
